Lessons commence each day at 8:45 am and conclude at 3:00 pm. The school grounds are open to students from 8:15 am to 3:30 pm. Supervision will be provided between these times.

Special arrangements will be made concerning authorised school activities that require students' attendance at the School outside these hours.

Office Hours

The School Office hours are 8:00 am to 3:30 pm

Student Attendance

Late Arrivals

Students who arrive late must report to the School Office and be signed in by a parent or carer. Students will receive a 'Smiley Face' token, which must then be handed to their class teacher.

Early Departure

Students may not leave the School premises during school hours without being signed out by a parent or carer via the School Office. Parents/carers must collect their children from the School Office.

Absence from School & Extended Leave

Parents/carers are required to contact the School Office via email, phone or sZapp notification, explaining the reason for all absences. A text message notification will be sent to parents/carers on the day of any unexplained absence. Parents/Carers are requested to reply to this text message before 3:00 pm on their day of absence or contact the School Office to explain the absence. All absences must be explained within seven days to avoid an unexplained absence being recorded.

Student Items

Restricted Items at School - Mobile Phones, Smart Watches and Devices

Students are not allowed to use mobile phones, smart watches or other smart devices at school. Any communication to students from parents/carers during the school day is to be made via the School Office.

Should there be a need to bring a device/phone, parents/carers are requested to notify the school. Students are then required to put their name on the device/ phone and leave it at the School Office, where it can be collected at the end of the school day.

Security of Ownership

All articles of clothing, bags, books, stationery items, calculators and so on must be clearly marked with the student’s name.

Students should not bring to school more money than is needed for the day and must accept responsibility for its use and whereabouts. If, for some exceptional reason, a larger sum than usual is brought in or needed for after school, it must be lodged (in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the student’s name) at the School Office for safe-keeping and claimed at the end of the day.

Lost Property

The Lost Property basket is located near the step area at the front of the Canteen. Please clearly label all items that are brought in or worn to school.

Messages, Visitors and Family Circumstances

Messages for Students

If you have a message for your son/daughter, please let the School Office know as early as possible and preferably before lunchtime (1.30 pm), as classes cannot be interrupted to pass on routine messages. All messages will be written on a card and delivered to the student/s prior to the end of the day. In case of emergencies, there will be exceptions to this rule; however, a paramount aim of the school is to safeguard the students' learning time as much as possible.

Change of Address/Family Circumstances

Parents/Carers are asked to promptly notify the school of any change of address, phone number, email address or place of employment. When parents arrange for students to stay with relatives or friends while they themselves are away from home for a period of time, the office must be informed in writing. The School will need particulars relating to the name, address and phone number of relatives/friends and the duration of the student's stay.

Similarly, any change in family status, such as a separation, must be notified to the school.  This is not only for administrative purposes, but also so the school can work for the pastoral welfare of the child(ren).

School Visitors

It is a legal requirement that all visitors to our school premises must sign in via the front office and wear a green Visitor Sticker.
