ENHANCING SPORT THROUGH FAITH
THE ROLE OF PRAYER IN SPORTS PERFORMANCE
For some, it's a ritual that provides calm and focus; for others, it's a form of worship and gratitude. Take the AFL Grand Final, for example. Many Australian Rules Football players attribute their mental strength and resilience to their faith.
ANOTHER AWARD FOR JAI !








A very special morning assembly was held on Monday, as we were very fortunate to have Mr Robert Dwyer MP, who awarded a NSW Sporting Representation certificate on behalf of the Honourable Christopher John Minns. Another amazing highlight of the achievements of Jai. I was fortunate to walk Robert around the school, and we visited the Don Farrell Hall to show him our amazing sporting success.
LISMORE DIOCESE WINTER SPORTS TRIALS - SOCCER
The Lismore Diocese Winter Sports Trials for soccer were held last Friday. Congratulations to all athletes and, in particular, Willow Morris-Boyd, James Millwarde and Emma Blackman for making the Lismore Diocese Soccer Teams. They will now travel to Bathurst in early Term 2 to compete for a spot on a Polding Team.
HASTINGS ZONE WINTER SPORTS TRIALS - RUGBY UNION
The Hastings Zone Winter Sports for Rugby Union were held yesterday in Kempsey. A full wrap-up will be in the next edition of Postman Pete.
LISMORE ZONE WINTER SPORTS TRIALS - RUGBY LEAGUE
Lismore Diocese Rugby League Trials were held in Grafton today. A full wrap-up will be in the next edition of Postman Pete.

As the siren sounds on Term 1 sport, I would like to thank all families for your amazing support. Term 1 has always been busy, and this was certainly true again. Our sporting Term consisted of School Cross Country, Polding Summer Sports, Zone Winter Sports, Lismore Dio Winter Sports, Zone Swimming, Lismore Diocese Swimming, AFL, Sporting Schools for over 240 students in the sports of Basketball, AFL and Ultimate Frisbee, and weekly year level sport.
TERM 2
Term 2 will be full steam ahead for sport. We will have a wide variety of sports including: Polding Winter Sports (Week 1), Zone Cross Country (Week 2), AFL Gala Day (Week 3), Lismore Diocese Cross Country (Week 4), our School Athletics Carnival (Week 7), Netball All Schools (Week 8) and the Lismore Diocese Rugby Union Gala Day (Week 8).
AFL
During the 1st week of Term 2, we will select 16 students for our St Peter’s AFL Team. This is a progressive event that commences in Port Macquarie and progresses to Coffs Harbour (Private Transport) and then Sydney (Private transport).
