PERSONALISED LEARNING

Staff at St Peter’s participate in regular professional development opportunities and collaborative learning days aimed at personalised learning for our students. Staff have extensive experience in formative assessment, allowing class teachers to provide targeted intervention for students needing extra assistance and extension for students requiring enrichment.

Students with additional needs are supported in their learning through a differentiated curriculum, carefully targeted interventions by trained support personnel and a range of support programs in literacy, numeracy and well being. Students also benefit from a Personalised Plan supported by a range of educational and health specialists to ensure that they thrive in a supportive and nurturing educational environment.

High potential learners are enriched through a carefully constructed curriculum that encourages divergent thinking, real world applications and innovation. Additional staff are employed through the year to assist students being extended through open ended challenges, thinking routines, student driven inquiry and extra curricular academic opportunities.
